Winter 2012 Halfway Point Rankings
I had this list ready to go two weeks ago, but I decided to hold off a week in hopes of making better informed judgments. A week passed, I forgot to update the list and here we are. It’s actually fortunate that I allowed the two weeks to pass as the rankings changed a lot in that timeframe.
While no show has really stood out head and shoulders above the rest, I am happy to see many more have made it into the Pretty Good tier. As work is picking back up again, I’m starting to jettison some dead weight that I may have otherwise watched.
Another Episode 7 Thoughts
Notes on episode 7. Continuing my isolation from outside information and discussion. Spoilers through episode 7 present after the break.
It has pretty stiff competition at the top, but Aquarion EVOL is one of the most entertaining shows of the season. It’s easy to disregard most of it as nonsense, but it does well for itself as far as action and comedy (“you’ll fly for anyone” gets me every time) and may very well dabble in actual romance. The biggest and most pleasant surprise for me this season.
Mei smiling gives me a heart attack every time.
Too bad we were not able to enjoy Mei’s zettai ryouiki for more than this brief transition.
Sexy teacher definitely has that “I’m not gonna survive” look.
One of the few times she hasn’t had that snooty look on her face.
Look at the bright side, Sakuragi! At least you did the gushing and didn’t get gushed on (your old seat can’t say the same)! And knowing your luck that knife would’ve coincidentally landed in your throat.
