It has pretty stiff competition at the top, but Aquarion EVOL is one of the most entertaining shows of the season. It’s easy to disregard most of it as nonsense, but it does well for itself as far as action and comedy (“you’ll fly for anyone” gets me every time) and may very well dabble in actual romance. The biggest and most pleasant surprise for me this season.

I hope Bag-chan gets an ending picture.

Aquarion EVOL First Impression Grade: B-

Uhh, what am I watching? Didn’t watch much of the first season, but the first couple episodes make me want to. Very silly show with gattais everywhere. Character designs remind me a lot of Oreimo. Yet another show this season whose art I’m very impressed with, but not entirely sold on. Well, I don’t feel like putting much effort into this review, so let’s just end it here.
