Wonder Festival Summer 2011 Want List

I’ve finally had a chance to look at the full WonFes coverage and I thought I’d post my want list. Unfortunately, nothing but Nendoroids caught my eye this time. There’s so many that I want it’s going to be hard to decide which ones will fit within my budget.

Must Buy

1. Nendoroid Haqua - Had a better look at Haqua, definitely my #1 now.
2. Nendoroid Menma - I’m fairly committed to buying any AnoHana Nendo, but I can see the passage of time sobering my enthusiasm so I’m going to be careful with this one.
3. Nendoroid Touwa Erio - Makes my Petit purchase look stupid…wish I could cancel that shit.
4. Nendoroid Kashiwazaki Sena - Meat is my favorite BokuTomo character. Hopefully they don’t screw up the anime.
5. Nendoroid Mikazuki Yozora - If you get Sena, you pretty much have to get Yozora. Maybe she will have alternate short hair?

Temptation Is High

1. Nendoroid Taneshima Popura - Another Petit purchase made pointless…
2. Nendoroid Matsumae Ohana - Would be nice if she had her school uniform along with the waitress uniform.
3. Nendoroid Nanasaki Ai - Ai is my favorite Amagami girl and should be in the must buy section, but I have a feeling she’s going to be a limited/exclusive so I’m not entirely sure yet.
4. Nendoroid Ika Musume - I’m curious what kind of parts she will come with.
5. Nendoroid Elsie - Elsie looks really good too, but there’s just so many Nendos I want…
6. Nendoroid Yune - I thought a Yune Nendo would be an automatic purchase, but the pictures I saw looked kinda weird.
7. Nendoroid Morishima Haruka - Haruka is my second favorite Amagami girl. I’m taking the same caution as with Ai.
8. Nendoroid Aragaki Ayase - Having Kirino and Kuroneko makes this one very tempting. I’m hoping I can resist.

Wanted, But Probably Not

1. Nenrodoid Feyris Nyan Nyan - I’d like to get the other Steins;Gate Nendos; if I do I’d probably get Feyris too.
2. Nendoroid Minami Kana - I have Chiaki, but I can’t see myself having enough money to complete the set.
3. Nendoroid Minami Haruka
4. Nendoroid Millhiore F. Biscotti - Looks really impressive, but I don’t think I love the anime enough to pull the trigger.

Sadly the recently revealed Aisaka Taiga Nendos do not make this list since they were technically not on display at WonFes. Also, I’m somewhat surprised there were no new Touhou Nendos on display.

WonFes Notes

I’m currently busy with Comic-Con, but I can’t resist commenting on the Nendoroids revealed during this summer’s WonFes. I basically want them all, but anything from AnoHana is extremely dangerous for my wallet. You can refer to Nendonesia’s coverage for all the details. The current want list is:

How it actually plays out is another story.

Good Smile Company will apparently ship WonFes exclusives overseas! This is good news for those that don’t want to deal with middlemen, proxies or waiting for it to pop up on Mandarake. Granted, you won’t save money if the shipping costs are similar to their previous fund raising releases, but it’s good to have alternatives.

* The Taiga Petit is being bundled with the first issues of the magazine Anime Style. It is not yet up for preorder on any of the usual sites and random sources say middlemen are not taking any preorders yet. In the end this preorder really depends on if I can get this at AmiAmi so I can combine shipping (I’ve ordered magazines in the past and shipping costs are pretty insane for some paper). This seems unlikely though, as I’ve tried to preorder magazines like Dengeki G’s from AmiAmi before only to find it sold out in the blink of an eye. On the bright side, the second issue is supposedly coming with Petit Nadia. If this trend of bundled Petits continues it might be worth it to find a subscription service to this magazine.

Wonder Festival 2011

I’m having a lot of trouble accessing my usual sources at the moment so I may be missing some unveilings as well as any associated data. I’ll probably make another post to go over missed items and to summarize what I’m likely to preorder.

WonFes Approaches…

…and it can’t be good for my wallet. My figure finances look good so far this year, but potential unveilings at WonFes could really disrupt things.

I was already 100% in on Riela (look at the detail on that lance and shield…amazing), but I’m not convinced about Madoka. The reason I’m wary is because if I get her I’ll most certainly fall for GSC’s evil scheme and have to get the rest of the girls too.
